Why use a body scrub?
Dry, rough, uneven skin or ingrown hairs? Are you wondering how to get soft, smooth skin, and which products will help you achieve it?
We often think of exfoliating our face, but all too often we neglect our body, which also needs it.
This article explains why you should use a body scrub and how to use it.
WHY USE A BODY SCRUB?
Okay, so the big question you might be asking yourself is, what's the point?
Well, it's simple: like your facial scrub, your body scrub will remove dead cells, smooth skin, reduce ingrown hairs and make skin softer.
The mechanical action of the sugar (or other grains) contained in your exfoliant will activate the skin's natural cell renewal and eliminate dry patches.
THE BENEFITS
Exfoliating your body has many benefits:
1. Improving care penetration
Dead cells are eliminated, leaving the skin better able to absorb the skincare products we apply. The skin is better hydrated and nourished.
2. Brighter, more even skin
Dead skin cells and impurities tend to dull the skin. With exfoliation, skin is brighter, more even and softer to the touch.
3. Fewer ingrown hairs and pimples
Dry skin is often prone to ingrown hairs and pimples. Exfoliating your skin will prevent hairs from getting stuck and creating inflammation. Small pimples will also diminish.
4. Extend your tan
A well-exfoliated skin also means a longer-lasting tan.
5. Toned skin
The mechanical action of exfoliation on the body activates cell renewal, blood circulation and tones tissues.
HOW TO USE IT
Ideally, you should exfoliate your body 1 to 2x a week.
Cocooning Love's sugar body scrubs can be used directly in the shower (practical!).
Just take a small amount and massage it into the legs, thighs, buttocks, arms - in short, all over the body.
We'll avoid the face, as the skin is finer and more fragile, and the grains used in the body scrub would be too intense.
Once you've finished exfoliating all parts of your body, simply rinse. The product will then emulsify and wash off easily.
WHICH SUGAR SCRUB TO CHOOSE?
PEACH & RASPBERRY
ABRICOT
With its fruity fragrance and blend of sugar and apricot kernel powder, ithas an intermediate intensity.
CAFÉ & VANILLE
For coffee lovers who like it when it exfoliates nicely. In addition to sugar, it's enriched with ground coffee beans, making it the most intense of the three exfoliants.
